Jennifer Lawrence handled her wardrobe malfunction at the Screen Actors Guild Awards with grace as she went up on stage to receive her award for “Best Female Actor in a Film” for her role as Tiffany Maxwell in “Silver Linings Playbook.”
The 22-year-old failed to notice that someone placed the leg of their chair on her navy Dior gown.
When Lawrence attempted to make her way to the stage, the underskirt of her dress was torn. Then when she headed up the stairs of the stage, lifting her dress, her thighs were revealed.
Lawrence, who was recovering from walking pneumonia, had contemplated even attending the event. She was so sick the night prior that she decided to skip out on the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards.
When asked about her illness by E! News correspondent Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet Lawrence stated: “Everyone is scared of me, I’m like, ‘I’m fine!’ I had walking pneumonia, and it is highly contagious,” she joked.
