Jennifer Lopez is not looking to secure the rights to the story of Jenni Rivera, an Mexican-American superstar that died at the age of 43 in a plane crash in early December.
“The J.Lo rumor is not true,” a source close to the Rivera family tells Access Hollywood.
While Lopez – whose new show, “The Fosters,” was recently picked up by ABC Family — is not currently involved, a concert movie featuring Rivera may be in the works.
The source told Access there has been talk of releasing a film featuring the late star’s last concert in Monterrey, Mexico (filmed the night before the fateful plane crash), much like the release of “This Is It,” following Michael Jackson’s death.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Rivera’s show, “I Love Jenni” is carrying on.
The third season of Rivera’s MUN2 reality series, which features footage shot the month before her death, will premiere on the network on April 14.
