Jenny McCarthy has started her own New Year’s Eve tradition by kissing someone who works in public service, whether it be a policeman or someone from the military, and let’s hope we don’t see any politicians trying to lobby for the blonde beauty in Times Square.
The actress-model hosted U.S. TV’s countdown show “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” with Ryan Seacrest for a third year as the clock ticked down to midnight in New York City.
McCarthy rang in 2012 by smooching an off-duty policeman and this year she grabbed a member of the Navy for a kiss.
“I think I’m in love,” McCarthy said when she later discovered the mystery’s man’s name was Benjamin.
The show was the first since the passing of its famed host Dick Clark in April, and featured performances from Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Psy, Carly Rae Jepsen and newly-engaged singer
Brandy in her first concert since announcing plans to marry music executive Ryan Press.
Times have changed since there’s no Dick Clark, but he’s the one that started the New Year’s Eve tradition in Times Square on live TV, one that will continue for years to come.
