Actress Jessica Chastain has been named the face of Yves Saint Laurent France, Manifesto, and this will definitely place her on the A-list with a new fashion gig of her own.
Chastain, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in The Help, is firmly entrenching herself in 2012.
Fashion house Yves Saint Laurent has tapped the red-haired beauty to be the face of its new fragrance called Manifesto.
“Yves Saint Laurent is a brand that inspires me deeply,” Chastain told Women’s Wear Daily. “Since its creation, the brand has conveyed strong values that I cherish, such as an unwavering commitment, absolute love and feminine audacity. This new fragrance is an emblem of it all. I am (excited) to be part of this beautiful adventure.”
Chastain’s YSL duties are just one more addition to her already jam-packed schedule, which includes starring in more than half a dozen movies in the next year. She can currently be seen – well, heard – in Madagascar 3.
Manifesto will be introduced in France Aug 27 and the rest of Europe in September. The perfume will be available in the US from 2013.
