Jim Parsons Outed As Gay In Play Profile

Though it may not be news to some who have watched actor Jim Parsons accept awards and thank his long time partner during acceptance speeches, and which he is often photographed with, he has recently been outed as gay according to a New York Times profile.

Parson’s is currently playing the role of Elwood P. Dowd in a Broadway play called “Harvey,” which is a remake of a 1950’s Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy film that starred Jimmy Stewart.

The Times listed a profile of Parsons as part of the play which read, “Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship.”

Parsons however, who has never discussed his sexuality publicly is reported to not divulge that information to the Times for the profile, and that they took it upon themselves to make the presumption over his preferred sexuality.

The 39-year-old Parson’s, who has won several awards for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper on CBS’s “Big Bang Theory,” has been linked to a man named as Todd Spiewak, who he is believed to have a the 10 year relationship with.

The gay accusation in the Times profile comes at the end of an 1,800 word description on information about the actor, in which the Times claims was given to them through Parsons himself but doesn’t directly credit Parsons for the gay quote.

Parsons nor his reps have not made any responses to the article printed earlier this month.
