The 21-year old daughter of Al Pacino was arrested for DUI over this past weekend. Julie Pacino admitted she drank a few beers and smoked some weed before climbing behind the wheel in Manhattan early Saturday morning. The former UCLA softball player and aspiring film director was busted after driving through a police checkpoint with, “bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong smell of alcohol on her breath,” according to police sources quoted by People.

“Yes, I was drinking,” Pacino was quoted by authorities as saying. “I had about three beers and I smoked weed at home. That was a few hours ago.”

She has been hit with a slew of charges, and her license has been suspended. Following the arrest, the elder Pacino rushed to his daughter’s side from Los Angeles, where he is working on HBO’s Phil Spector murder trial project. Julie was released late Saturday on her own recognizance.

Although he has never married, Pacino has three children from several relationships. The eldest, Julie Marie is his daughter with acting coach Jan Tarrant. He also has twins, son Anton James and daughter Olivia Rose born in 2001, with actress Beverly D’Angelo, with whom he had a relationship from 1996 until 2003.

Pacino had a relationship with Diane Keaton, his co-star in the Godfather Trilogy. The on-again, off-again relationship ended following the filming of The Godfather Part II.
