Justin Theroux enjoys a regular jogging routine each day and has not worked on a movie since he filmed the comedy Wanderlust alongside his now fiancee Jennifer Aniston last year. Theroux is now back on the set this week.
In one of his takes in the film for his HBO movie “The Leftovers.”, the 41-year-old was seen screaming and yelling out for help as he tended to a lifeless dog during a jog in the park.
Picking the deceased animal up in his arms, Justin’s character looked clearly distraught and seemingly in shock.
After touching the canine on the neck, he held his hand up only to see it covered in blood. TMZ reports that apparently the dog was a movie prop, a canine cadaver.
Justin was then seen coming across a live dog of the same breed. Face-to-face with the animal, he was seen bending down on one knee to engage with the canine.
The Leftovers, based on the book by Tom Perrotta, revolves around the Rapture and follows a group of people who are left behind in the suburban community of Mapleton.
They must begin to rebuild their lives after the sudden and mysterious disappearance of more than 100 people.
Justin recently landed the starring role in the HBO’s apocalyptic pilot.
The pilot will also star Liv Tyler and newcomer Margaret Qualley, and a source told MailOnline last month: “Justin is so happy about getting the HBO series, it’s something he feels passionate about and Jen’s so proud of him.”
Meanwhile, Justin’s fiancee Jennifer Aniston is promoting her latest film, “We’re The Millers,” and is also set to start shooting her next one, Squirrels to the Nuts.
The couple’s hectic work schedules is said to be the reason behind a potential delay of their wedding date, and they may now even be planning a Christmas wedding.
The couple have also been doing renovations on Jennifer’s $21million Bel Air estate, which included adding a rather large chicken coop to the equation.
However, they may end up not living there as the couple disagree over where they should reside. It is said that Justin is reportedly desperate for the pair to move back to New York City.
