Kanye West performed at the Adult Swim Upfront Party 2013 while going on an SNL rant about celebrities and the paparazzi. In fact, the rapper threatened not to show up for the NBC comedy.

The singer, who is having a baby with Kim Kardashian, didn’t hold back during his hour-long set at the party.

“One thing about me, I’m the worst kinda … celebrity because all I do is make real music. All I do is sit in the studio and make real, real (bleep). And that’s it,” he said, half-singing. “That’s mother (bleeping)ing it. … So I don’t want nobody trying to run up on me with no cameras, trying to sell pictures and sh– to magazines, asking me no dumbass questions, throwing me off of my focus …” he continued.

“Harassing you all (bleeping) day. I ain’t no (bleeping) celebrity.”

What might have prompted the anti-camera part of the tirade is that on Friday, Kanye was snapped by photographers as he walked into street sign in Beverly Hills, bumping his head.

And few days later, he was snapped having trouble driving his Lamborghini through the gates at Kardashian’s house. All of this is coming as Kanye is set to be the musical guest, while Ben Affleck is the host of the season finale of Saturday Night Live this weekend.

In his upfront performance rant, Kanye said a friend asked him whether he planned to go on SNL and ” ‘do, like, a skit about the paparazzi and … like humanize yourself?'”

Kanye’s response: “I ain’t here to apologize to no (one), man. It ain’t about me humanizing myself. At what point did I become un-human where I had to turn myself back? Or maybe I was demonized. Or maybe I was treated inhumane and not human in that kind of situation.”

He added, “I’m trying to make some music that inspires people to be the best they can be. I don’t want nobody to ask NOTHING ELSE OF ME. Don’t ask nothing else of me. …. nah I ain’t doing no (bleeping) SNL skits … this my … life. This ain’t no (bleeping) joke. That’s it.”
