Kathy Griffin made Anderson Cooper feel incredible awkward as they brought in the new year together from Times Square. The over-the-top comedian co-hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve show with the network’s journalist and definitely gave him a night he will never forget.
The 52-year-old comedian is known for pushing the envelope and she made no exceptions for Cooper. After only a few moments into the broadcast, the professional journal brought up a Twitter follower’s comment about drinking every time Cooper jiggled nervously.
“I’m going to tickle your sack,” Griffin declared. “You can say sack (on air). That’s not bad.” Cooper said: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have no sack of gifts here. A sack of Christmas presents. I did not bring a sack of Christmas presents.” Cracked Griffin, “You’re calling your privates your Christmas presents.”
However, the sexually banter did not end there. Right after the clock stuck midnight, Cooper cut to correspondent Gary Tuchman from Eastport, Maine where it is customary for New Years to kiss an 8-foot sardine after it dropped from the top of a building, and Griffin took advantage of Cooper being distracted and kissed his package.
When the camera came back to Griffin and Cooper, she stooped to kiss his crotch again. “Did you drop something?” he asked. “No, I was kissing your sardine,” she answered. “I can do it again,” Griffin said kneeling. “I can do this all night long.” “No, sweetie,” said an uncomfortable Cooper, lifting her back to her feet. “You know you want to,” she said. “Believe me, I really don’t,” Cooper said as he once again pulled her upright.
