Katy Perry Sesame Street Controversy: Katy Perry's 'Hot N Cold' Duet with Elmo. The segment was pulled due to complaints. During the segment, Perry and Elmo did a video for a song version of "Hot N Cold."
Sesame Street producers have chosen not to air the video due to the feedback they received after it hit YouTube. Perry was wearing a gold bustier top during the video. Apparently, so people felt she should have covered up a little more.
According to Perry's rep, she enjoyed her time with Sesame Street and Elmo. Even though Elmo and Perry's play date will not be aired on the children's television series, it is receiving millions of hits on YouTube. The video is still available on the video-sharing website, take a look and let us know what you think.
Perry was born in Santa Barbara, California, and raised by Christian pastor parents. She grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in church as a child. After earning a GED during her freshman year of high school, she began to pursue a music career.
