Kelly Clarkson The Voice – Kelly Clarkson will be a mentor on the “The Voice” even though there’s been some friction between the show and “American Idol,” but that isn’t stopping the first Idol winner from signing onto an exciting role for the second season of NBC’s signing competition.
Hoping to catch some of the huge audience from the Super Bowl, the season premiere of the next season of The Voice will immediately follow the big game on NBC, February 5th, with its second show in its regular time slot on Monday, February 6th at 8pm.
Some of the artist already signed on to join Clarkson as guest mentor’s are Lionel Richie, and judge Blake Shelton’s wife Miranda Lambert according to a network statement on Friday.
According to Billboard, aside from being the first winner of Idol, over a career spanning a decade, Clarkson has become the most successful American Idol contestant of all time. She has won 2 Grammies, 3 MTV awards, 4 AMA awards and a Women’s World Award while selling millions of albums.
Along with Blake Shelton, all of the other judges, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, will be returning for the new season of The Voice along with Carson Daly resuming his hosting duties. Season one saw Javier Colon as the winner.
