Kendall Jenner was inspired to make a hairstyle change to brunette after her sister, Kim Kardashian, debuted a new blonde hairdo. The 17-year-old unveiled a new color to match her outfit in a picture uploaded to her Instagram account on Sunday.
The teenager’s hair is usually a natural dark brown like the rest of her family. However, in the new image, it appears the top half of her hair down to her shoulders is lighter, followed by her usual brunette in what one could call a reverse ombre effect. The reality star provided no caption to accompany the picture, so it’s unclear why she made the change.
This isn’t the first time the model has sported a lighter hair color.
In February 2012, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star tweeted a picture of herself blonde, writing, “New look… ? What do u think?” but she later revealed that she was in fact wearing a wig. “Don’t worry! Still a brunette! Fooled you,” she tweeted.
Although Kendall is a star, she admitted in the April issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine that sometimes she doesn’t want to be famous. “The show [Keeping Up With The
Kardashians] brought us everything we have, and I realize that, but sometimes I just want to be left alone and be a normal kid for like five minutes. That’s tough when the paparazzi are chasing you.”
Kendall and sister Kylie were recently paid $100,000 each after launching their own nail polish line, Kardashian Kolors with the popular beauty brand, Nicole by OPI.
In any case, Jenner has had a busy few days. She and older half-sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, along with younger sister Kylie Jenner, attended the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nev., where they posed alongside a scantily clad Miley Cyrus.
An insider revealed to Us Weekly that Kendall and Kourtney and Kylie and Khloe — in the midst of a devastating marital crisis with Lamar Odom — held hands as they walked over to the stage to watch the provocative singer’s set. Afterward, all four walked over to her trailer for the quick photo op.
