Khloe Kardashian could become the next host on the X Factor to take the reigns from ousted host Steve Jones. However, there are many conflicting reports on this, and it may be another publicity stunt for the reality star and her family.

“I’m a big fan of The X Factor” she stated after reports surfaced that she auditioned for the job. “I’ve always wanted to do hosting or talk show hosting, so it’s definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do,” she added. “I love Simon [Cowell].”
Kardashian, 28, could bring her fans to the talent show, but some experts believe she’s no fit to become the host. There are a few unidentified (and unconfirmed) sources that say her chances of being the gig are high, but then there’s the fact that she has never hosted a talent show before. In fact, Kardashian fans question the move because she isn’t famous for anything other than her reality TV show with her husband, Lamar Odom.
Meanwhile, Cowell says he’s “pissed off” at popular NBC rival The Voice for a decision to air three episodes against X Factor when both shows return next week.
“It’s very simple: They don’t want people to see this first episode,” he told reporters Thursday. “I think it’s mean-spirited and I hope and I pray that it backfires on them because this is one of the best shows we’ve ever made.”
The X Factor returns for its second season on Sept. 12 (8 p.m. ET), with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato on the judges’ panel and Kardashian as host.
