Kim Cattrall Broadway Performance Debut

Kim Cattrall Broadway – Kim Cattrall can do it all from Sex and the City to live Broadway performances. She will debut her opening act tonight in a performance as Amanda in a production of Noel Coward’s Private Lives.

Instead of playing a “spunky,” “man-eating” character like Samantha from Sex and the City, the 55-year old actress will be playing the female role of a divorced couple who discover they have adjoining rooms on their honeymoons with their new spouses.

While Kim will most likely always be seen as Samantha, Yahoo! OMG! reported that she is on a mission to remind her fans that she is also a respected and talented theatrical star.

“If you look at my resume, you’ll see my theater and film — they look like two different actors in a lot of ways,” she said. “I knew from a very early age that if I wanted to be viable in the theater world, people know who you are if you have film credits.”

Cattrall is very excited about her career path and her decision to take on the role in Private Lives. After reading only the first 15 pages of the script, she knew she wanted in.
