Kirstie Alley is on an organic weight loss program that’s been part of her “The Big Life” reality show. The 62-year-old has denied allegations that she is suffering from bulimia and threatened a lawsuit regarding plastic surgery rumors. The actress recently lost 50 pounds and is rapidly approaching the 100-pound goal.
Kirstie left the audience open-mouthed as she strutted down the runway with perfect poise for Zang Toi at New York Fashion Week.
She modified her figure, but don’t expect her to to use plastic surgery. “I haven’t had plastic surgery but here’s the reason: People do plastic surgery to make you look younger,” she said. “I don’t think it makes you look younger… it can make you look weirder.”
The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant has been friends with the designer for nearly 20 years, and she looked stunning in a royal blue, rhinestone-detailed gown for the Malaysian designer’s 2012 show. Alley, 60, put a lot of young folks to shame as she made her debut on the catwalk.
Alley also has blasted tabloids for saying bulimia is the reason she lost so much weight. However, she says it’s largely due to “Dancing With the Stars” and her Organic Liaison program.
Kirstie recently opened up about her friendship with the designer, as she told Entertainment Tonight: “I’ve known Zang since 1993. I did the cover of Redbook and I wanted something really beautiful.”
She was preparing for the worst before her runway debut, but the actress handled it very well and looked great. She was pleased with her outing and thanked Toi and her fellow models.
A lot of people want to know how Alley lost all that weight. She has continued her training and performance schedule after being a constant on “DWTS.” We’re not sure if she is still using Jenny Craig, but she is sticking to healthy, organic foods and staying active.
