Actor Ashton Kutcher made it a boys’ night out at Friday’s Barnstable Brown Party, Louisville’s most elite and swanky Derby Eve celebration — where he also patched up a simmering feud with Miranda Lambert, according to People magazine.
Having formerly accused Ashton of making fun of country music when he presented her with the Female Vocalist of the Year award at last month’s Academy of Country Music Awards, Miranda posed for a friendly picture and Tweeted with the photo: “here it is y’all. He is sweet and lives country music! For real!:)”
And though the Two and a Half Men star arrived only with other fellows, that didn’t mean the ladies weren’t looking in his direction — including, according to one observer, EPSN’s Erin Andrews, who “was so checking him out. Like, 100 percent,” according to People magazine.
Hitting the red carpet fashionably late, about 10 p.m., the recently single Kutcher, 34, was sporting a black suit and a white, opened-collar shirt as he posed briefly for photos before being escorted into the party.
En route, he shook hands with admirers and posed for another picture, this time with a starry-eyed fan who jumped in his path. He also, at one point, lost his cell phone. (It has yet to be reported if it remains lost or found.)
Among the numerous other party revelers: Kellan Lutz; Tom Brady, sans wife Gisele Bündchen; Joey Fatone; Cyndi Lauper, who mistakenly dropped the F-Bomb on an open mic during a performance (she later apologized); and Boys II Men.
The charity gala, founded by twin sisters Patricia Barnstable Brown and Priscilla Barnstable, along with Patricia’s late husband, Dr. David E. Brown, is now in its 24th year and has raised more than $9,000,000 for the Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Research Center at the University of Kentucky.
