Leonardo DiCaprio is taking a break from acting to focus on environmental activism. DiCaprio has spent the entire year working on three films, including ‘Django Unchained,’ and feels that it is a good time to do something good for the environment.
The committed environmentalist told a German newspaper that he’s planning on taking “a long, long break” from acting.
“I am a bit drained,” DiCaprio told German newspaper Bild. “I’m now going to take a long, long break. I’ve done three films in two years, and I’m just worn out.”
He said he wanted to concentrate on his activism in environmental causes.
“I would like to improve the world a bit,” he said. “I will fly around the world doing good for the environment.”
The 38-year-old actor has been praised for his activism by environmental groups. In the past, DiCaprio has chosen to fly on commercial flights instead of chartering his own private jet. He owns a Toyota Prius, an electric Tesla Roadster and a Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid.
