In an update to what caused the death of 25-year-old Leslie Carter, the coroner in Chautauqua County, New York whom performed the post-mortem, said the autopsy was inconclusive.
The sister of singer Aaron Carter and ‘Backstreet Boy’ member Nick Carter, was found dead in her upstate New York home on Tuesday.
Now the coroner, Richard Mackowiak, says his office will be awaiting toxicology test results to determine a cause of death, meanwhile the body has been released back to the family.
Mackowiak, says that Leslie’s body showed no signs of trauma.
He said of the toxicology results, that could take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to be determined, that when they do come in that, “Results of the toxicology test are made public at the discretion of the family.”
Leslie was married and had one daughter that was about 9 months old. Some sources indicated to TMZ, that she had recently moved from Canada to live with other family members in New York, because she was battling a prescription drug addiction.
Though she tried, Leslie was never able to attain the level of success in the music world her two brothers did. In 1999 she created an album for DreamWorks, that was never released and in 2001 her only single ever released, “Like Wow!” was apart of the “Shrek” soundtrack, after that she did little else in the industry.
