Actress Lindsay Lohan is set to join Ashley Tisdale and Charlie Sheen as part of the cast in Dimension’s Scary Movie 5, and even though it’s low-budget, she is still onthe road to regain some credibility.
For the most part, the actress is trying to get her career back, after losing to years of altercations with the law. She is currently shooting The Canyons, Bret Easton Ellis’ tale of L.A. youth gone bad and just wrapped Liz & Dick for Lifetime. Malcolm Lee is directing Scary Movie 5, the fifth installment of Dimension’s horror spoof franchise.
Ashley Tisdale and Charlie Sheen, as well as franchise stalwarts Anthony Anderson and Regina Hall are among the cast. No character description was given about Lohan. Production is expected to start September in Atlanta.
The franchise’s fifth installment, due out in 2013.
It’s being touted as a complete reboot of the franchise, so it’s easy to invent ways to bring Sheen back on the set … hopefully in scenes with Lohan.
Sources also say that Sheen, despite being uncomfortably killed off in Scary Movie 4, will be back, which is odd since they killed off his character, unless he’s planning to be a living zombie.
Meanwhile, Anna Faris will not appear in Scary Movie 5.
