Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s daughter, shaves head and steps out in New York on Thursday with an edgy look.
The 15-year-old, who goes by her nickname, Lola, had the side of her head shaved off, leaving the rest of her locks long. Lourdes Leon displayed her new look and is seen with her remaining tresses tucked into a bun in a photo posted on People magazine.
She is also a fashion blogger and even works with her mother in the business. She and Madonna launched a clothing line named after the pop star’s hit song, “Material Girl.” The brand, which is geared towards teens, also includes cosmetics and skin care products and is available at Macys.
Lourdes’s blog offers stories about upcoming trends and also officers style advice in a column called “Ask Lola” column.
Another young starlet following the edgy hair trend is Willow Smith. The 11-year-old “Whip My Hair” singer and daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith debuted a newly-shaven head on her WhoSay account on Thursday, February 3 (See photo).
Smith recently released the music video for her third song “Fireball,” which is a collaboration with R&B singer Nicki Minaj. She has also become one of the most popular pre-teen artists and rose to fame with the 2010 song “Whip My Hair,” followed by “21st Century Girl,” which hit stores in February.
Madonna, recently performed during the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI football game between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots on February 5. The icon performed hit songs like “Vogue” and “Music” on stage, and also performed her new single “Give Me All Your Luvin” featuring appearances by Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. Madonna was also joined by pop group LMFAO and performer Cee Lo Green.
