Music artist Marilyn Manson will be performing on Aug. 18 at the West Hollywood Sunset Strip Music Festival, which will also be a tribute to the rock band The Doors.
Ray Manzarek, The Doors keyboard player says, “The Doors are honored to be celebrated by the magical, legendary Strip. A great leap forward from the Summer Of Love to today. What a great time we’re going to have!”
Many artists will be performing their take on some of The Doors songs as a tribute.
Over the three-day event there will be over 50 acts performing including Bad Religion, Far East Movement, Dead Sara, Steve Aoki, The Offspring, De La Soul, Das Racist, and Black Label Society. The festival activities will officially begin on August 16th; however, the ticketed outdoor concert and name acts are on the 18th.
Tickets for the all-day event are currently on sale starting at $75 via TicketWeb; the VIP pass will run $135, and a three-day pass to all events is $250 and includes all VIP perks. On Aug. 16, Sunset Boulevard will be closed down from San Vicente Boulevard to Doheny Drive.
A portion of all ticket’s proceeds from this festival will go towards the Pasadena, Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center.
