Mark Wahlberg Tattoo

Mark Wahlberg is having a tattoo removed, but the 40-year-old actor has four ink spots that include Sylvester the cat with Tweety Bird in his mouth on his ankle, a design of his initials “MW” with his surname “Wahlberg” on his upper right arm, and a Bob Marley tattoo with “One Love” on his upper left arm.

The fourth tattoo is the rosary tattooed around his neck, with a crucifix and the words “In God I Trust” resting over his heart.

On Jan. 9, Wahlberg told David Letterman about how he is in the process of having them removed. He cited his career and children as the reason for the removal of the tattoos.

According to the Inquisitr.com, Wahlberg is getting them removed, mainly, to deter his kids from getting inked.

“I don’t want my kids getting tattoos. And I wanted them to be [gone] by the time I did ‘The Fighter’ because putting make-up on and covering them up has always been a pain in the butt,” Wahlberg said. “I’ve taken my two older kids to the procedure so they see how painful it is and what I have to go through.

Wahlberg and model Rhea Durham have four children, Ella Rae, Michael Robert, Brendan Joseph and Grace Margaret.

Mark Wahlberg is the brother of New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg, who can be seen Friday nights on “Blue Bloods.”
