Marston Hefner, Hugh Hefner’s oldest son, was arrested Sunday night after allegedly attacking his girlfriend, Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair.
Sinclair claims that this incident wasn’t the first time Marston Hefner hit her. The playmate said she will not press charges as long as she receives a public apology.
“I’m looking forward to a public apology,” Sinclair told ABCNews.com. “I am against any sort of domestic violence so once that’s done, I’m ready to bury this and leave it in my past.”
Police were called to the home that the couple share in Pasadena, Calif., after one of Sinclair’s family members called 911 reporting that he had attacked her.
When officers arrived at the scene, Sinclair, 20, reportedly had bruises and red marks on her body. She told police he punched and kicked her. Hefner, 21, admitted the couple had an argument but denied that it got physical.
“It was really ridiculous,” Sinclair said. “I wanted to leave and his car was blocking mine. He wouldn’t give me the keys or move the car and that’s when he hit me.”
Hefner was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and taken to a nearby police station. He was released on $20,000 bail a few hours later.
Sinclair posted to her Twitter page Monday, “There’s two types of pain in the world – pain that hurts you, and pain that makes you stronger. All of your positivity is giving me strength.”
Sinclair says she has obtained a restraining order against Hefner and is in the process of moving out.
“I don’t want any problems moving forward,” Sinclair told ABCNews.com. “I need to be completely distanced.”
The couple has been dating on and off since August 2010. The pair hasn’t spoken since the altercation, Sinclair said, and she doesn’t plan on doing so.
“I can only hope Marston gets psychiatric help and seeks medicine for his anger,” Sinclair said. The model was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Year in 2011.
