Matt Bomer finally speaks out about his personal life as a gay man.
Actor Matt Bomer who plays, Neal Caffrey on USA’s ‘White Collar’, announced for the first time that he is in a gay relationship with his publicist Simon Hall.
This past weekend he made the announcement at the Desert AIDS Project’s Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards in Palm Springs, California, according to E! News. He also added that he has been raising Hall’s three son’s together with him for several years.
Bomer was being honored at the event for his work in the fight against AIDS. According to E! when Bomer received his New Generation Arts and Activism Award, he said, “I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry.”
Adding, “Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment. God bless you.”
Bomer has been suspected of being gay before but he would never confirm the reports. In a 2010 interview he was asked about the talk questioning his sexuality and only replied, “I don’t care about that at all. I’m completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life.”
The 34-year-old actor’s next movie will see him portray a gay journalist in”The Normal Heart” a drama about HIV and AIDS.
