Michael Douglas regrets fatherhood after son’s arrest. Michael Douglas has admitted that he regrets sacrificing fatherhood for his career. Douglas was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Douglas, 65, pointed out parallels between him and his dad, telling that he, too, had sacrificed fatherhood for his film career. “My career was really just getting started and that was my focus, maybe more than it should have been,” Michael Douglas said in a statement. “I was gone more than I should have been,” he added.

The Oscar-winning star even admitted that he has been a bad father to his son, Cameron. In fact, Douglas confessed that he repeated the sins of his legendary father, Kirk Douglas, 93. Cameron was recently arrested for dealing drugs.

The actor will be starring in the upcoming sequel “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. ” Michael Douglas broke his silence last week about his battle with stage-4 throat cancer. He just completed the first of eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
