Furniture belonging to Michael Jackson is now up for auction. Jackson purchased the pieces for the “This Is It” tour in London. The auction includes a lot of collections but some of the tastes are bizarre. An Italian furniture maker is to auction everything off that was once ordered for his luxurious residence.

The furniture maker already reimbursed the Jackson family for the paid items. Jackson paid about $700,000 for the pieces. Some of the items include a desk with a secret compartment, crystal-encrusted chairs, and sofas.

In fact, Jackson’s home was elegant enough that he ordered the custom-made furniture with the finest silks, leather, wood, gold leaf and Swarovski crystals. However, Jackson never lived to see the furniture, and it was still waiting to be shipped to his residence in England.

Hollywood Home Replica

Kenneth Bordewick, Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors, worked as a consultant on the furniture project. He made the design similar to the look of the rented Hollywood home where Jackson died.

“The Jackson collection really is remarkable – one parlor set was inspired by furniture at Tsar Nicholas II’s Winter Palace for Michael Jackson’s English palace. That alone would cost $600,000 because it features hand embroidery with 24-karat gold thread, Swarovski crystals and fine silk,” Boredewick said in a statement.
