Michael Jackson Kids Allowance Increases

It’s got to be amazing to be one of Michael Jackson’s kids. The three children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II will get a major boost in allowance because $60,000 a month just wasn’t enough. It’s difficult to image how that kind of money isn’t enough, but then again, you’d have to know the Michael Jackson lifestyle.

In a hearing this week, lawyers for the Michael Jackson’s estate appealed to raise the sum paid to Michael’s mother Katherine, who is the guardian of the three children because the $60,000 she was getting isn’t enough to take care of them. The bills that calculate such an amount were not disclosed.

Families of four survive on $60K a year, but apparently it’s not enough for just three kids–a month. Judge Mitchell Beckloff was asked to increase “the family allowance to the children,” with attorneys submitting a figure for the judge to consider. It’s unclear how much of an allowance they will receive.

What Is All That Money For?

It’s hard to imagine just what all that money is really for. In fact, the Judge isn’t quite sure what the additional monies would be used for. I’m sure the court will grant the allowance to the kids. When I was their age, I barely got $5 per month.
