Mike Tyson’s wife has filed a lawsuit over threatening emails by someone only identified by a unique IP address. The lawsuit also states that the former boxing champion’s wife, Lakiha Spicer, has been a victim of extortion.

According to documents filed in Los Angeles County, Spicer states she’s been receiving emails threatening her life and her family’s life for quite sometime.

The defendant — who is only identified by an IP address — is also “extorting” and “making false allegations and accusations” against Lakiha. The docs do not list any specific threats, but Lakiha says the repeated contact is causing her emotional distress.

Lakiha’s retained famed attorney Mark Geragos to handle the case.

Mike Tyson retired from professional boxing in 2006, and despite having received over $30 million for several of his fights and $300 million during his career, he is bankrupt.

Tyson has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
