Neve Campbell returns to TV in a new Amish drama to hit the Lifetime Network. Campbell has accepted the Amish role in a new film that could potentially become a TV series.
Both Campbell and Lifetime have remained quiet with the details.
She will star in ‘Sworn to Silence’ as a former member of the Amish community. According to Entertainment Weekly, she will play Kate Burkholder, a woman who witnessed several murders when she was aÂ child in the Amish community in Ohio.
Her character returns to the town fifteen years after the murders, to serve as its police chief. In her new position, she investigates a homicide that foster painful memories from her youth.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Sworn to Silence’ won’t be the only project that Campbell works on with Lifetime.
“Growing our scripted programming remains a top priority for Lifetime and our long formÂ strategy provides us with a strong stable from which to identify potential series… I’ve always admired Neve’s work.Â She is a proven talent who will bring a high level of intensity and presence to this role andÂ Sworn to Silence,” Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks, said in a statement.
Campbell has signed a development deal to work on several scripted dramas and original movies for the network.
