Nicole Scherzinger is getting engaged to boyfriend Lewis Hamilton after being together in an on-and-off relationship since 2008, but they are trying to keep the wedding under wraps.
“We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really,” Hamilton told British newspaper The Sun. “But hopefully in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years.” Hamilton and Scherzinger despite their busy schedules always make time for each other. When Scherzinger judged British X-Factor, Hamilton went to visit her backstage.
“You kinda have to look at the schedules because people will put something in any time that you have off and we’re always working. We have to be like, ‘OK, this week I’m going to try to make it to this race, if I don’t, I’ve got this performance here; what can you do?’ Every minute counts, you know?” Scherzinger had said earlier about their relationship.
Scherzinger’s father put the engagement rumors in heavy rotation when he alluded that Hamilton had already proposed to Scherzinger. “You know about the proposal? Yes they are engaged,” Scherzinger’s dad had said. “My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth. My family all like him. The good spirit is there.” Back then, Scherzinger’s rep had said it wasn’t true.
Despite that, Scherzinger did admit to watching to get engaged, but said it would probably be a long engagement. “I put so much thought into my X Factor dresses every week, so of course I would spend a lot of time thinking about my wedding dress!” Scherzinger joked to Closer.
Despite not being on the American X-Factor any more, Scherzinger is still a judge on the British TV show. The former Pussycat Dolls singer set hearts racing in this black leather dress at the auditions on June 19.
“I had so much fun and such a great experience on the show last year – it far exceeded all my expectations!” Scherzinger said about her first season on British X-Factor. “I always give 110% to all I do and I put everything else on hold to focus on X Factor and supporting my Scherzy boys,” Scherzinger said.
“This year, now that I’ve worked out doing my new music and the show together, I am so excited to get back to the UK, my second home, and get stuck into X Factor 2013!”
