Omarosa Manigault has been fired on Sunday’s episode of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. The 39-year-old told her boss that she admired him.
“We’ve had tremendous success together. You helped make The Apprentice. You helped to make me a star,” she said. He then added, “But Omarosa, you’re fired.”
Being fired by Trump isn’t new for her. She rose to fame as the bad girl on the original season of The Apprentice in 2004.
“I went from being anonymous to being famous overnight. I did 10 reality shows in one year. I did a stint on soap operas, and I did a couple of scripted shows.” She adds, “I remember a lot of titles being put on me at the time, they called me the greatest reality TV villain of all time … It didn’t define who I was. I was always bigger than my reality TV character.”
Omarosa also talks about finding her calling doing missionary work in Africa, and about losing the love of her life, actor Michael Clarke Duncan, in September.
“He went to bed a little earlier than me. And at some point I, later that evening, I could hear him laboring, trying to breathe. And then I didn’t hear anything, I just jumped up and um, when I realized he wasn’t breathing I just started doing CPR and trying to get 911 on the line and just — I just started praying. I mean I prayed like I have never prayed before. We were able to get him — his heart started again, breathing again and we got him to the best hospital and he fought. After two months of fighting, he passed away.”
But is this the end for Omarosa? Probably not, because she does bring in the ratings for Celebrity Apprentice. Everyone loves to watch the fate of a villain.
