Oprah Winfrey is selling her New York City penthouse for $7.9 million.
The 58-year-old media proprietor purchased the apartment located on the 36th floor of Manhattan apartment block, four years ago, for $7.1 million.
This flat features multiple breath-taking views, even Lake Michigan can be seen from the master bedroom, library, and living room. The 4,607 sq. ft. apartment features a 768 square foot terrace, a grand foyer, living room, formal dining room, butler’s pantry, inner foyer, three bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The master suite has 10 foot ceilings, three walk-in closets, a shower, a bath tub with jets.
Oprah’s most well-known residence is in Montecito, California on what she calls “The Promised Land”; it is a 42-acre estate with both an ocean and a mountain view.
This uniquely structured $85 million mansion was built to shield Oprah from rain showers in Santa Barbara. It features 10 fireplaces, beautiful sculptures, over 600 rose bushes, and a personal tea house used for reading and napping but “rarely tea.”
“I love, love, love this space. It was created because I wanted a place to be able to come to when it’s raining…when it’s cloudy, when I just need to be at peace. I meditate down here, I read the papers down here. No business down here, because I don’t want that energy in the house,” Oprah has stated about the tea house.
In addition, she owns a house in Lavallette, New Jersey, a ski house in Telluride, Colorado, an apartment in Chicago, an estate on Fisher Island in Florida, a house in Douglasville, Georgia, and property on Maui, Hawaii and Antigua.
