Socialite Paris Hilton has been driving around in her brand new pink Bentley but the car maker doesn’t want that kind of publicity. Having her drive around in their $212,800 vehicle with a brand new bright pink paint job isn’t exactly what the car maker was hoping for when promoting their high-powered Continental GT but that’s exactly what they have been given. It could be deemed damaging to the demographic that they were targeting their marketing campaign towards.
The car is designed for the “younger driver” the company recently told Forbes. Adding, that while they appreciate that “celebrities and influencers” are buying their cars, they would prefer a different type of clientele.
Then again, as the company told Forbes “there’s a certain element still buying it possibly for very different reasons: the follow-on crowd who just said, ‘Well, so-and-so is driving the car, so I want one.'”
However, a company source said, that with their recent investments in the polo player-model Nacho Figueras and Peter Brant, an art connoisseur, hope to divert attention from the socialite circle.
While they can’t take the car away from Paris, they could go the route of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino of “Jersey Shore” took when Abercrombie and Fitch offered him a million dollars to stop wearing their clothes. Then again, they could just ignore Paris Hilton all together and hope that she moves on to another car soon as she’s prone to do.
Paris Hilton recently completed her year-long probation sentence for her 2010 drug arrest. She did 200 hours of community service plus an extra 28 hours, having to pay a $2,000 fine.
