Prince Harry’s humor shines in a recent photobomb as he popped up in someone else’s picture at Monday’s Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Prince Harry gave the photobomb recipients something to remember. They didn’t know what was coming at Glasgow 2014.
The picture is probably one of the funniest things Harry has done, although we’re not sure if his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, would approve it. Some people say otherwise, stating that even the Queen has a sense of humor.
Massey University shared the fun snapshot via its Twitter account, writing, “Royal photobomb alert! Prince Harry with our Prof. Emeritus Gary Hermansson at #Glasgow2014.”
Prince Harry’s famous photobomb has now gone viral on the social media networks. This is a side we don’t see often enough from Harry, because he’s either too serious or partying in Las Vegas. We have all seen what happens when the Prince is visiting Sin City.
The 29-year-old royal redhead, who was seated two rows behind the officials, gave two thumbs up and flashed a huge smile as he posed behind unsuspecting rugby sevens coach Sir Gordon Tietjens, Sport Manawatu chief executive Trevor Shailer and Massey University professor Emeritus Gary Hermansson.
“Photo of the day,” Shailer wrote on the Facebook page. “A Royal photo bomb by Prince Harry with Titch (Tietjens) and Gary Hermansson at the swimming venue tonight.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared quite animated during the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. At one point, the future King and Queen of England each made Zoolander’s famous Blue Steel face at the same exact time. We’re not sure if they have seen the photobomb image.
The royals are embracing the modern age of photography. Earlier this month, the two princes snapped a selfie with British entrepreneur Jamal Edwards. And last week, the Queen herself got in on the act with an epic photobomb, also snapped at the Commonwealth Games.
The royals were watching swimming at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, while they also caught other events such as hockey and gymnastics.
Another candid photo making the rounds on social media today was of the cheeky prince while apparently popping the question to Australian hockey player Rachael Lynch.
“Harry proposed … and I said yes! Great to have the girls there for that special moment,” the Hockeyroos goalkeeper posted on Twitter, accompanied by a photo of her meeting Prince Harry.
“I asked him to move back to Melbourne with me so he will be at the next family catch up.”
Prince Harry’s first photobomb won’t be the first. The royal family is becoming more famous because of social media. Are you a fan of Harry’s?
