Robert Downey Jr Is New Baby Boy Father

Robert Downey Jr, 46, is a father again to a baby boy after his wife Susan gave birth to Exton Elias Downey, a spokesperson for the actor confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

It is the first child for the couple, but Robert Down Jr has a baby boy 18 years ago with his ex-wife Deborah Falconer.

The spokesperson said “Everyone’s happy and healthy,” The healthy boy was born on Tuesday morning in Los Angeles and weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces.

Susan and Robert Downey Jr. met on the set of ‘Gothika’ in 2003, Susan was a producer on the film working for Silver Pictures. After prior relationships to ex-girlfriend Sarah Jessica Parker and ex-wife Falconer ended due to problems connected to Downey’s substance abuse, he says he has been drug free since the time of meeting Susan. The two were married in a Jewish ceremony in 2005.

He credited family, mediation, therapy and other things, but mostly his wife, for getting him sober and turning his life around saying, “There’s no understanding for me of the bigger picture in real time in a hands-on way without her. Because it was the perfect, perfect, perfect matching of personalities and gifts.”

Susan Downey was most recently a producer on another one of Downey’s films, “Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows,” along with “Iron Man 2,” “Due Date,” and the first “Sherlock Holmes” movie.
