Ronnie Wood is feeling the wrath of a woman scorned with his ex-wife of 30 years, Jo Wood, releasing a tell all book. In it she claims the Rolling Stones rocker smuggled drugs internationally.
Releasing an early excerpt of her book, It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll: 30 Years Married To A Rolling Stone, the former model claims she and Ronnie had to smuggle “smack” laced cigarettes into Nassau in 1978.
According to the 58-year-old the trouble started when the Rolling Stone agreed to join forces with Beatle Ringo Starr to help a new musician record his album.
Problem was Victor was not just the musician he was also a Colombian drug lord, according to the book.
“Victor was acting like a mad man as he was smoking ‘dirty cigarettes’ or DCs – little roll-ups containing smack – which he was intending to take in to the Bahamas,” Jo wrote.
“I didn’t touch them, as they had the most revolting smell – if I think about it even now I gag – but Ronnie went into the bathroom for a sneaky puff,” she wrote.
“Shortly after he stumbled back to his seat, a flight attendant came over and crouched next to me.’Excuse me,’ she said to Ronnie, ‘but I think your friend has left this in the toilet.’ She was holding out the bag of DCs. Ronnie must have got so stoned he’d left it in there,” Jo said.
Ronnie who is currently on tour, may be getting a little worried about the book’s content.
Jo and Ronnie were married for 30 years and have two children together but the pair split after the rocker left her for a 21-year-old he had met in a club in 2008.
Ronnie went into rehab that same year and in 2009 Jo divorced him. In December Ronnie married his girlfriend of eight months, 34-year-old Sally Humphreys.
