Rooney Mara – Rooney Mara has made some really drastic measures to get into character for her new movie, “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.”
She has gone from a “girl next door” look to having her lips, ears, eyebrow, nose, and nipples pierced for the new David Fincher movie.
The actress said that she had to change her look drastically to match Lisbeth Sanders’ look in the movie, but she didn’t want to feel like she was always  in costume.
Mara said that her nipple piercing was “necessary” to get into the head of Lisbeth Sanders.
“I’m naked quite a lot in the movie, and I thought, she has [a nipple piercing] in the book, and she should have it [in the movie]… Because of all the tattoos and the makeup and the piercings, and the physical transformations my body has to go through, it would always feel sort of like I was in costume, even if I was naked. It just felt like a good [piercing] to get, a necessary one to get.” Mara told Allure Magazine.
And recently, Mara also revealed to the New York Post that she didn’t even have her ears pierced before filming started.
