Sarah Palin is featured in a new HBO movie about the 2008 presidential campaign of Senator John McCain.
The movie called “Game Change” and is based on the book of the same name written by two journalists, John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. It stars Ed Harris as McCain and Julianne Moore as Palin.
The movie shows how McCain’s advisor’s, one of which is played by Woody Harrelson, helped McCain pick Palin as his running mate, then later realized their mistake when Palin could not function in the media spotlight.
In the released trailer Moore as Palin is seen making the infamous, “I can see Russia from my house,” quote and advisor, Steven Schmidt, Harrelson’s character saying, “Oh my God, what have we done?”
Another clip in the trailer see’s Palin telling the same advisor, “I’m single-handedly carrying this campaign. I’m going to do what I want.”
The former Alaskan governor is also heard whispering, “I have to win this thing. I so don’t want to go back to Alaska.”
Even know the trailer does not seem to paint Palin in the brightest light, Heilemann recently said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” it is, “an incredibly balanced portrait (of Palin) … you see the dark side, you see the light side.”
The Sarah Palin film will be aired on HBO on March 10th.
