Selena Gomez, who is halfway through an exhausting world tour, falls from the stage in Fairfax, Va., last Thursday while performing her new single “Slow Down,” the 18th and final song of the night. Fan footage of the incident, which has since gone viral.
The footage shows the 21-year-old jumping up and down during the song’s finale, and then hitting the lip of the stage and spilling forward onto a walkway. Helped up by her backup dancers, she was not injured and finished the concert without any other mishaps. The singer didn’t mention the incident on social media, but she did post some photos from the night to Instagram, showing her posing with fans outside the Patriot Center.
The Fairfax concert was her first in the U.S. after swings across Canada and through Europe.
The little spill didn’t leave Gomez injured though. Right after, a dancer helped her back up on her feet. She immediately started busting out her dance moves alongside her backup dancers with a big smile on her face.
Before the fall, Gomez performed the number without a hitch, showing off her sexy dance moves and belting out the hit song in a slinky dress and boots.
Gomez also recently showed off a photo of her backup dancers holding up signs with supportive messages. “See I love my dancers because they love y’all just as much as I do,” she captioned the shot. “We used real fan posters on stage last night. Let’s make it a thing? K.”
The Stars Dance tour wraps up Nov. 26 in Auburn Hills, Mich.
