Sharon Tate Jewelry And Ring Go Up For Auction

Sharon Tate Jewelry – Sharon Tate’s engagement ring and other jewelry, the one she was said to be wearing when she was stabbed to death by the Manson Family, can now be yours, TMZ has learned … if you’re willing to drop at least $10,000 at an auction.

According to the auction house selling the ring, her husband, director Roman Polanski, removed it from her finger when he was identifying her body at the morgue. He proposed to her with it in 1967. There are multiple stories that it was Roman Polanski’s agent William Tennant, and not Roman himself, who identified Tate’s body at the morgue because he was not in the country at the time.

Sharon and her unborn child were brutally murdered in 1969 by followers of Charles Manson. Police were unable to determine a motive.

Before being murdered, Sharon played small television roles before appearing in several films. After receiving positive reviews for her comedic performances, she was hailed as one of Hollywood’s promising newcomers and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Valley of the Dolls (1967). Tate also appeared regularly in fashion magazines as a model and cover girl.

The jewelry hits the auction block on November 30th.
