Semi Valley California Porn Industry Condoms And HIV

The Semi Valley, California porn industry might move to Arizona after being forced to use condoms under a new law to protect people from HIV. The law was recently passed, which means condoms must be worn in any adult films made in Simi Valley. Under this law, the producers are required to submit untouched copies of the films to the Police Department for their review.

So, basically if the law works as planned, law enforcement officials will be required to spend part of their work shift watching the porn to ensure that the stars are wearing condoms.

The CEO of Naughty America, Edward Arenas, told HuffPost, “I’d have to look into that,” after being told about the new law. “But, that seems pretty absurd.”

This law was put into place after a ruling was passed that requires adult film stars to use condoms in any pornography that is shot within the city limits of Los Angeles.

Apparently, officials in Simi Valley were worried that porn studios were going to move their productions into their area.

“The primary purpose here is it’s a health and safety issue. And secondarily, we don’t want them here,” Simi Valley Mayor Bob Huber said after introducing the law. “This is a family-oriented community, and we don’t want them setting up their studios in Simi Valley.”
