Comedic talk show host and political activist Stephen Colbert has shown that his fan base is huge after he was placed on the Maxim magazine’s annual ‘Hot 100′ list of the world’s most beautiful women.
Colbert did not just barely make the list as the first male to do so either, he came in at a respectable number 69, beating out Pippa Middleton who came in at number 81.
“Democracy isn’t always pretty: Sometimes it’s downright handsome. With a massive write-in vote campaign, the Colbert Nation proved they’re not only loyal but also incredibly horny,” Maxim said in its citation.
The number 1 spot went to Israeli supermodel Bar Rafaeli, with comedian and actress Olivia Munn at number 2, and actress Mila Kunis at number 3.
Stephen hosts his own talk show on Comedy Central called “The Colbert Report” which is a parody of personality-driven political opinion shows such as “The O’Reilly Factor.” Since its debut, the series has established itself as one of Comedy Central’s highest-rated series, earning Colbert three Emmy Award nominations and an invitation to perform as a featured entertainer at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in 2006.
Colbert was also named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in 2006. His book I Am America (And So Can You!) was No. 1 on The New York Times Best-Seller list.
