Steve Bridges, known for his many different impressions of famous people, including the last 3 presidents, was found dead on Saturday and the cause of death is still unknown.
Bridges, who was just 48-years-ol,d was found dead by a maid around 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning at his home in Los Angeles, according to his manager Randy Nolan.
Graig Harvey of the coroner’s office, had stated that it looked like the comedian had died of natural causes, but an autopsy was to be scheduled.
Nolan meanwhile had said that Bridges had just returned from a trip to China on February 23rd and was complaining of “super jet lag.”
In his act Bridges would use prosthetics to transform his look into whoever he was trying to impersonate, which included, Bill Clinton, Barrack Obama, and George W. Bush, who he became a favorite of.
In 2006 Bridges stood side by side with the real President Bush and mimicked the president’s speech during a White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, speaking the true inner thoughts of Bush as he spoke. After hearing of his death former President Bush called his brother Phillip to offer condolences.
“Steve was not only a funny man, but a kind and decent human being. My heartfelt sympathies go out to his parents, his siblings, and his entire family,” Bush told The Associated Press through spokesman Freddy Ford.
Steve was able to mimic over 200 different famous voices and had become a regular on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
