Swamp People star Joe LaFont was arrested, on Wednesday, for attempting to use a cigarette to burn his girlfriend, and punching her in the chest according to TMZ.
Trapper Joe, born Noces Joseph LaFont Jr., is facing battery and assault charges in Orange County, Florida.
Reportedly, the reality star and his girlfriend, whose name is unknown, were at the Buena Vista Hotel and Spa in Orlando when they began arguing. According to a witness, LaFont and his girlfriend both seemed to be very intoxicated. Allegedly, he witnessed LaFont punch her in the chest and shake her extremely hard by grabbing her arms.
The woman told police, that the ordeal began when Joe got a call, and she went to get his cell to find out who was calling him. She claims that when she went to grab his phone, he attempted to burn her with his cigarette.
According to reports, the trapper denied the allegations; however, he was arrested and booked into an Orange County jail. Soon after he was released after paying a $50.00 fine.
