On Tuesday night, Taylor Swift and John Mayer happened to be at the same place at the same time in Los Angeles. This made for an uncomfortable situation as that same-day, Rolling Stone magazine published an interview in which Mayer stated that Swift “really humiliated” him when she released “Dear John.”
According to the New York Post, Taylor went into the Hollywood Tower Bar and Restaurant and saw Mayer and a friend sitting there.
“Taylor very visibly — in front of the entire restaurant — demanded to be moved to the other side,” the eyewitness said. “The bar’s usually an oasis of calm and privacy for celebrities and power players, but this was drama central.”
However, according to a source with Swift who spoke with Gossip Cop, “there was no nasty confrontation and while the singer was at the bar, it’s not even confirmed whether they saw each other.”
Other sources told Us Magazine that the singer-songwriter was still reeling from Mayer’s interview. “I can’t believe he is trying to play the victim!” the source said of Mayer, who reportedly dated Swift in 2009, while they were working on music together. “John was a player and treated her like s–t,” another insider says. “He looked at her as a conquest. Taylor is going to think even less of him now!”
