Ted Nugent Obama Threat Prompts Service Service – Former ‘Damn Yankees’ member and solo rocker Ted Nugent has the secret service now keeping tabs on him. The outspoken musician made a controversial remark during a recent interview at the National Rifle Assn. convention in St. Louis and a threat against President Barack Obama if he’s re-elected.
Nugent, who has thrown his support behind Mitt Romney, went onto say, “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”
Since the remarks, a Secret Service spokesman said, “We are aware of the incident, and we are conducting appropriate follow-up.”
Nugent also has since denied that his remarks were to mean any kind of violence towards the president. “I have never in my life threatened anyone’s life. I’m incapable of threatening anyone’s life. Because I’m about positive change, my entire speech, all my articles,” he said
Nugent added, “I spoke at the NRA and will stand by my speech. It’s 100 percent positive. It’s about we the people taking back our American dream from the corrupt monsters in the federal government under this administration, the communist czars he has appointed,” he said.
Nugent is a major supporter of hunting and right to bare arms, and had been backing Rick Perry until the candidate did not do well in a March primary so Ted decided to lend his support to Mitt Romney after he was promised if elected, Romney would not sign any new gun control laws.
