Teen Mom’s divorce between Jeremy Calvert and Leah Messer is on after the reality star was served papers on April 14. Calvert, Leah’s estranged husband, filed the papers in Roane County, West Virginia, where the couple lived together, according to The Inquisitr.
“The Teen Mom didn’t know about the divorce papers. Strangely enough, she thought the process server was there for her autograph,” a source said. Leah was served in a parking lot in Elkview, West Virginia.
At first, Messer-Calvert was happy about the divorce, excited even, but “when she realized why she was being approached, her mood totally turned around,” the said. “She was clearly pissed.”
The Teen Mom divorce comes almost a year after exposing Leah’s affair with Robbie Kidd. Jeremy Calvert isn’t taking any chances and wants his relationship with Leah done.
“He’s going to be seeking primary custody,” the source added.
In addition to cheating rumors last fall, sources close to the mother-of-three also said she was dealing with a serious addiction to painkillers, according to Examiner. Leah’s family denied the rumors and suggested MTV was to blame for starting the story.
However, insiders now say the Teen Mom 2 star s admitting she has a problem and has decided to seek help.
“She’s confessed to Jeremy that she has a problem, and knows she has no other choice than to go to rehab immediately,” the source said. “MTV would foot the bill and force Leah into rehab because the network loves her. They last thing they want to see is her going down the same dark path that Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans did.”
But now the Teen Mom divorce is moving forward and Leah hasn’t said anything about it on social media. The source also said that fans shouldn’t expect her to say anything.
“She’s saying she’s going to go away to a ‘therapy intervention’ place for three or four weeks so she can find herself and help herself be a better person.”
Leah spent the past week in Nashville at a cheerleading competition for Ali and Aleeah. After returning home, she cryptically tweeted “you’re not sorry…” but followed it up by saying she was just quoting a song. Jeremy also hasn’t addressed the divorce story, but indicated he has some personal experience with it in one of his latest tweets.
As the Teen Mom divorce goes to court, there is also another report indicating that Leah may be on her way to treatment, notes TMZ. Leah’s ex-husband Corey Simms, the father of her 5-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, will reportedly take their daughters while she receives treatment. And Calvert, daddy to Leah’s 2-year-old daughter Adalynn, will care for his estranged wife’s youngest.
