NBC comedy “The New Normal,” which features a gay male couple, is facing scrutiny by One Million Moms prior to going on the air.

The division of the American Family Association is calling for a boycott of Ryan Murphy, the show’s creator. The non-profit organization which advocates conservative fundamentalist Christian values is spreading their beliefs through their website.

“NBC is using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values …. These things are harmful to our society, and this program is damaging to our culture,” the site reads.

Earlier this year, the organization attempted to destroy JCPenney for their use of Ellen DeGeneres, who is openly gay as a spokeswoman.

However, Ellen has remained in the commercials, and NBC still plans to debut, “The New Normal” on Sept. 11.

The program’s description reads, “These days, families come in all forms — single dads, double moms, sperm donors, egg donors, one-night-stand donors … It’s 2012 and anything goes. Bryan and David are a Los Angeles couple and they have it all. Well, almost. With successful careers and a committed and loving partnership, the one thing missing is a baby.”
