Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are getting married again, although there are a lot of things unclear to this point, according to the National Enquirer.
There are several reports that Woods asked Nordegren to remarry him after one of the biggest cheating scandals struck the sports world in 2009. The couple had divorced and haven’t been on speaking terms until recently. The National Enquirer claims it has proof that the two have reconciled.
But as the story goes, the pro golfer had to do a bit more than just sweet talk. You see, he also had to put his money where his mouth was, about $200 million of his impressive estate.
According to the magazine, which claims to have solid inside knowledge of this, Woods has been pleading with Nordegren to take him back all along.
However, it wasn’t until he promised her a $200 million deal that she finally agreed to marry him again: a prenuptial that will ensure she never has to worry about money for the rest of her life, in the eventuality of a divorce.
It’s one of those marriages that is backed and secured with money, so to speak.
Even more, he’s also agreed to include a $350 million no-cheating clause in the prenuptial: in other words, if Woods falls off the wagon again, there will be hell to pay.
“Tiger didn’t even balk at the demand. Even though his accountants think he’s crazy, he’s ready to sign the pre-nup and set a wedding date,” an insider tells the magazine. “The guy has never recovered from being dumped by Elin. He’s dated lots of models and bimbos, but none of them were more than a one night stand,” adds the same tipster.
Money can’t buy you love, but it can buy financial security in a marriage that is filled with past cheating scandals from Woods. The prenuptial is actually a win-win situation for Nordegren.
