Recording artist Tone Loc, born Anthony Terrell Smith, collapsed on stage Friday night from heat exhaustion while performing at The Moody Theater in Austin, TX.
However, after taking a 30-minute break and drinking plenty of water, the 46-year-old entertainer resumed his performance.
TMZ reported that Loc’s manager stated, “The inside of the venue felt like it was over 100 degrees, which caused the rapper to fall. He was immediately helped off stage, given water and cooled off for 30 minutes before returning to finish his set.”
Many of the concert goers took to twitter following the concert and stated that the “Wild Thing” artist oddly performed the exact same songs that he did prior to the fall.
This was not the performers first time collapsing on stage, in 2009, while performing in Pensacola Beach, Fla., he was taken to a hospital after passing out on stage and ripping his elbow open. Then in 2011, Loc collapsed again during an Atlanta Ga. concert; he received an IV at a local hospital and was released.
